A Silverado Canyon, Calif., dad says he discovered his 13-year-old daughter sent a whopping 484 text messages PER DAY last month. For you non-mathematicians out there, that's one message every 2 minutes of every waking hour! HOLY CRAP! Who has that much to say?!?!
Well, apparently, Greg Hardesty's daughter does, as he told the New York Post. His daughter, Reina sent 14,528 text messages last month, generating a 440-page cell bill! Most of the messages went to four girls — her closest friends –ages 12 through 13.
Like, oh my God!!!
"First, I laughed. I thought, 'That's insane, that's impossible,'" said Hardesty, an Orange County Register journalist. "And I immediately whipped out the calculator to see if it was humanly possible."
Luckily, Hardesty had an unlimited text messaging plan, or his bill would have been $2,905 at a rate of 20 cents per message, says the Post. Not one to allow such Tomfoolery to continue, the old man told the newspaper he and his ex-wife have placed restrictions on Reina's cellphone use. Reina's not allowed to text after dinner.
Wait, what?!?! But that’s only restricting her by a few hours! Me says the lil’ bugger will still be racking up hundreds of texts daily at the rate she’s going. I dunno, pops…..I just don't know…
Oh, and there’s a place called Silverado Canyon in California? Dang, I lived here all my life and never even heard of it — just that crappy Kevin Coster cowboy movie…
