Microsoft: Office Web will be available from Mac, Linux, iPhone

November 13, 2008 (Computerworld) Microsoft Corp. clarified this week that the upcoming Office Web — a lightweight version of its Office suite that runs as an online service — will be available to users running Mac OS X and Linux, as well as from Apple's iPhone.

Since the announcement of the upcoming Microsoft Office Web Applications at this year’s PDC, there has been a lot of excitement about this new service which will allow for creating, editing, collaborating, and sharing documents using the web.
